You don’t know how many times I’ve thought about blogging this last week…but was just too pooped to break out the lap top. It would have been so lovely to put my laptop under my pillow and blog by osmosis. I’m pretty sure the thought pattern would have been totally random. Some of the things going on here:
1. Both kids are out of school. It was an eventful last week of school but a fun one.
2. We had a successful garage sale on Saturday. Like all yard sales, it was a pain in the butt, but we got rid of a lot of stuff (including big furniture!) J and I have really been trying to downsize our possessions –furniture included-- before we move because our rental is so much smaller. Plus, we’d rather get rid of things now so we don’t have to move them.
3. I have been packing, packing, packing. No photos to show progess because I don’t know where J moved the cord needed to upload photos! Oh well.
4. We’ve managed to knock a few more things off the List. We might even set up the kids’ lemonade stand tomorrow.
5. My eating has not improved one little bit. I’m more convinced than ever that I self-medicate with food. Thank goodness I still hit the gym at least 4 times a week, but my food junk consumption is out of control. I have been thinking more and more that I would like to keep an online journal, tracking my food, my workouts, and my progress; however, I don’t want to start another blog and yet I don’t want this blog to turn into a “Food Blog.” I don’t know if there’s a way to have seperate posts that don’t appear on the main page, but only appear under a special tab. Does anyone know if this is even an option?
Well, that’s it. Nothing terribly exciting going on. Good night.

Sounds like you had a very productive week! My blogging philosophy is that it should add to your life. You had enough life going on. You didn’t need to add blogging in there!
Can you just add another page and link to it on your tabs on top of your main page? Just a thought. I think a food journal would be great for you. So much easier to change bad habits when you see them in black and white!
I say wait until you get settled in your new home to start food journaling, etc. You’ve had plenty of distractions to keep you “off track”. Focus just on eating your fruits and veggies for now.
Hang in there. Can’t wait to see the new abode.
You are so so busy, so don’t be too hard on yourself with the food stuff. When things are settle check out Sparkpeople.com. You can track everything there and keep a food blog too. For now, maybe pick just one thing like, drinking more water and see if being hydrated makes a difference in food cravings and how you feel. Best of luck to you during such a crazy time!
Glad you all are getting everything done and ready to move. Too bad I didn’t get to bring you treats for your garage sale.
Glad you are still working out - I bet that helps with the stress. Don’t stress on the eating - think of just eating to maintain and get through the move. Once you are settled, then, you can worry about having a meal plan to track, etc.
You can add another tab and only post to that tab or you could always transfer your other site to your wordpress.org account too. Just a thought.
