This week’s Edit, Add, Appreciate is a day late — so sorry!
I was up until midnight last night, finishing details for my daughter’s 4th birthday party that happened today. Make that parties. We had her friends over in the morning, and then aunts/uncles/grandparents came over for an afternoon BBQ. All this, after an Open House on Saturday.
Planning my daughter’s birthday party(s) the day after the Open House was either the most ingenius idea or the most moronic idea I’ve had all year. I’m leaning towards the latter…
Without further ado…

It’s Sunday…time to edit, add, and appreciate one thing in your life that will help you be a better you.
Edit one thing–material objects, negative thoughts, bad habits, or activities that don’t reflect who you are as a person. It doesn’t have to be a physical thing; Sometimes bad habits and negative thoughts are more detrimental than physical clutter.
Add something. Bring in something or reinvent one thing in your life–thoughts, habits, activities, clothing, objects…Add something that will help you be a better person; And yes, sometimes a new pair of jeans can help!
Appreciate something or someone already in your life. Hug your children and tell them how special they are. Call your spouse, just because. Be extra polite to the guy who makes your latte. Frame that favorite piece of art.

Add a new 30 day habit — wash face every morning.
Last week, I wanted to start a new habit of a “daily skin care routine.” While this was a grand idea, it never happened on a regular basis. This week, I’m going for *simple.* Chances are, if I manage to wash my face, I’ll probably moisturize it, and then I’ll probably add sunscreen, etc…
Appreciate this next week, free of Open House OCD cleaning and prep for my daughter’s birthday party. I would like to *be present* all week, like my friend here.

oh, please - you HAD to have been present to master an open house and birthday party all in the same weekend. Don’t under estimate yourself : )
@ Denise~ I think I was on *cruise control.* BTW, it’s 7:51 pm right now, and I’m going to bed now.
Edit: My diet. Something’s not working. I’m gaining weight.
Add: A green smoothie every day. SEE! You’ve inspired me!
Appreciate: The calm before the storm. Things are tough in Greece right now … and set to get tougher.
