Next month, my daughter is turning 4, and we’re having a Rainbow party for her. It will be her first party where she invites friends rather than family-only. She’s feeling like quite the Big Girl.

Like most things, I get my best ideas from other blogs. Well, this rang true when it came time for these Rainbow Frisbee invitations. The idea for mailing a frisbee through the mail came from this delightful blog.

I ordered these mini frisbees from Oriental Trading Company, and then hot-glued the invitations inside the frisbees. I’ll be taking them to the post office tomorrow morning — the postal workers will either be delighted or grumpy about this odd package. We’ll see…

***Update: I went to the post office this morning, and the postman was neither amused or annoyed, although he seemed a little dubious of the package. He said that each frisbee would need 64 cents, and “as long as you have the postage on there, you should be fine.”

OMG - they are so cute!! I LOVE the Frisbee idea…..You totally have to make the RAINBOW CAKE (like I did last year for The Husband) thanks to your suggestion!

I think the post office would mail anything with postage LOL….glad it all worked out :) I can’t wait to hear about the decorations and all that.
