When my sister was getting married, my dad and I were standing in the kitchen the night before finishing up the favors. My sister was running around like a headless chicken with nothing packed YET and nerves everywhere. I wondered out loud, “I wonder what I’ll be like the night before my wedding.” And my dad, without missing a beat, said, “Underwear packed? CHECK. Tickets in carry-on? CHECK. Wedding dress ironed? CHECK. …”
Apparently, I was making lists even in high school - which I don’t remember!
