It’s been quite a while since I’ve done Edit, Add, Appreciate, and I think it’s time I reinstituted the weekly tradition. For memory’s sake, here’s a quick description of EAA:
Edit one thing–material objects, negative thoughts, bad habits, or activities that don’t reflect who you are as a person. It doesn’t have to be a physical thing; Sometimes bad habits and negative thoughts are more detrimental than physical clutter.
Add something. Bring in something or reinvent one thing in your life–thoughts, habits, activities, clothing, objects…Add something that will help you be a better person; And yes, sometimes a new pair of jeans can help!
Appreciate something or someone already in your life. Hug your children and tell them how special they are. Call your spouse, just because. Be extra polite to the guy who makes your latte. Frame that favorite piece of art.
I am going to be making a few changes in the way I do EAA. I have been inspired by the book Throw Out 50 Things, and I will be using it to guide me when I edit. Also, I will be using the 30 day habit to help me make new habits that last forever. It will guide me when I add.
Lastly, I will no longer be using Mr. Linky — he was more trouble than he was worth. If you’d like to join me in Edit, Add, Appreciate please use the comments section. I’d love the company!
So here goes. This week, I will…
Edit items from my bedroom. {I promise to follow up in a future post.}

Add the habit of drinking a green smoothie, daily. Actually, I already started this habit a few days ago. I intend to continue it for at least 30 days.
Appreciate my inner voice. And I intend to honor her by listening to her.
What will you edit, add, and appreciate this week?

I LIKE your new EAA approach and can’t wait to read more about your fun new things.
Wow, you are going to be SO healthy with a green smoothie a day
Yay for Edit, Add, Appreciate! I love your list today, Kirwin. And it seems so much more manageable than some of the old ones I remember?
Let’s see. For me:
Edit: Less sugar. I have already dropped that down a lot, but I can do better.
Add: More veg to my daily diet.
Appreciate: My body and how amazing it is … whether it’s a size 6 or a size 12.
Happy Sunday, Kirwin.

have i told you how happy i am that you are blogging again?
green smoothies rock. i made two yesterday! instead of making afternoon coffee - i made another smoothie. and, i got a few more things done that i wanted to do.
@ Danica~ My husband is even drinking the green smoothies with me! They’re really quite refreshing. (The kids don’t like them, though.) : )
@ Chania Girl~ I’m so glad you joined me in EAA. I’m with you on your “appreciate.” I’m so lucky that I can still run with my kids and toss/chase a ball. At this point, I can still beat them in a race…it won’t be long though, until I’m eating their dust. ; )
@ Denise~ Thanks friend. You sure know how to make a girl feel special. ; ) {And yes, green smoothies are da bomb.}
