Observations:
This is a random observation –and maybe one that is unrelated to the cleanse– but it’s worth mentioning. I got my period today, but it was an utter surprise. I mean, I don’t keep track on a calendar, but I can usually “tell” by the various aches and pains and cramps. There’s always foreshadowing…This time, I didn’t have any cramps or aches or any sort of warning! Pretty cool, huh?
On an unrelated note, you may have noticed that my posts have dwindled to Cleanse Recaps. I’m sorry about this, and it is 100% unintentional. I’m having a difficult time finding my rhythm of posting, healthy cooking, and getting things done around the house. I will be posting on other topics soon –I promise– I just have to redefine my schedule (again.)
Don’t give up on me, okay?

About PMS… I have read, and found to be true in my own life, that the symptoms really dissipate when you cut out wheat, sugar and cut back on carbs. I used to have debilitating cramps every month in college - to the point where I would literally lay in bed curled up in a ball moaning. Now that I have changed my diet 180 degrees from super low-fat to lower carb I have very few symptoms.
Also… I really enjoy reading about the cleanse so you can keep those posts coming while you are taking care of yourself :).
Give up on you? Never. We love you and know that this is a big adjustment. Slowly slowly … go easy and be forgiving of yourself. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Hugs xoxo
um, so i woke up monday with cramps from my period - does that mean I eat like crap?
no seriously, they went away after I made my way to yoga.
one thing at a time my friend - right now you are focusing on your cleanse. your breakfasts are sounding yummy. i have taken a break from the green smoothies. suddenly they don’t sound so good when the weather is cooler. have an awesome day - xoxo
@ Shannon~
Hmmm…interesting. I wasn’t sure if the cleanse was related, but it was so out of the ordinary to not have ANY cramps or symptoms whatsoever! Cool. I’m glad you’re enjoying the cleanse posts — it really hasn’t been as difficult as I imagined. (Says the girl who has been doing it for only 4 1/2 days!!)
@ Chania Girl~
Thank you, friend. It’s funny: Every time I feel like I’m getting in a comfortable routine or whatnot, something gets messed around, and I feel like I’m starting all over again!
@ Denise~
I don’t think you eat like crap. ; ) I’ve seen your posts and your photos!! As for my cleanse, the breakfasts are really yummy; however, it’s the same breakfast I just so happen to eat anyways, whether I’m eating sugar & gluten & etc. It’s just that yummy.
Keep goin’ with it! We’re here for all the details, cleanse-related or no. : )
@ Amy~
Thanks, mama. I’ll keep posting those details! ; )
